Summary: The integration of theology and psychology has been a well-documented endeavor to find a model that gives both disciplines a healthy balance and understanding. Many have proposed helpful models for psychologists, licensed mental health professionals, ministry leaders, and coaches. However, integration becomes more complicated when it comes to practice based on the ethical tenant of client self-determination. In this workshop, participants will be able to explore the ethical considerations of faith integra tion in practice, starting with assessment and moving into treatment planning. Furthermore, the concept of the clinician’s professional identity and faith will be examined to better prepare the participants for integrated practice. Participants will engage in discussions about both implicit and explicit integration and how each has benefits for the client’s overall well-being. Lastly, participants will be able to apply what they have learned by engaging in simulated counseling scenarios. 1. Discuss the ethical considerations of faith integration in assessment and treatment planning for clients and patients 2.
