Dynamic Discipleship: Essential for Facilitating Permanent Lifestyle Change with Your Clients Approved for 1.5 IBCC CEs for Pastors, Pastoral Counselors, Summary: Have you ever considered biblical discipleship as a resource to positively change a lifestyle? It is incredibly effective! After being discipled by Dr. Gary Chapman (The Five Love Languages), the trainer’s life changed forever. Partici pants will learn how the lives of individuals and couples that walk through a discipleship course were also changed forever. In this workshop, participants will define biblical discipleship and how this is different from mentoring. Par ticipants will learn how discipleship is integral to Christian counseling and can create permanent change within a client’s life. 1. Define discipleship based on the Bible and what it is and what it is not, as well as see biblical examples of disciple ship and hear how discipleship changed their lives for the better 2. Describe how biblical discipleship can be radically dif ferent from mentoring 3. Analyze how discipleship is the lifeblood of Christian counseling 4. Summary: Digital technologies like Artificial intelligence (AI) have quickly become integrated into many aspects of daily life, from personal assistants, apps, chatbots, and the algo rithms that drive social media feeds. While AI has the potential to revolutionize the way people live and work, it is not without its potential drawbacks on human connec tion and mental well-being. This workshop will discuss the psychological impact of artificial intelligence (AI), its implications on social, emotional, and spiritual health, and clinical application for mental health professionals. With the increased demand for mental health services, AI is strongly considered a potential solution to the shortage of mental health providers. This workshop will also review the progression and ability of machine learning, ethical dilemmas, and current research into AI’s use in mental health service delivery. 1. Discuss AI’s positive and negative impact on human connections and mental wellbeing, including relationships, anxiety, depression, social connection and insomnia 2. Identify potential risks associated with technology use and how to help clients mitigate these risks when possible 3.
