Summary: When the Church honors and prioritizes marriage, we ignite every child, teen, and single with the hope of an amazing marriage and every married couple with a clear path out of boredom and away from crisis. By consistently painting a beautiful picture of a husband and wife enjoying life together, we equip every church member to be a mar riage advocate for the singles and couples around them. Pastors, ministry directors, teachers, small group lead ers, and counselors need practical, easy-to-follow church strategies to increase marriage satisfaction and decrease the divorce rate. Learning Objectives Participants will: 1. Articulate a comprehensive marriage doctrinal statement and incorporate it into every ministry of the Church 2. Explore strategies to prepare singles for marriage and equip married couples to honor, enjoy, and prioritize mar riage in the home 3. Identify and critique outdated and boring marriage mes sages and ministry models and develop relevant alterna tives to reach the singles and couples in their communities 311. Utilizing Behavioral Strategies and Interventions to Impact Performance Approved for 1.5 CEs for Psychologists, Licensed Professional Counselors, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists, Licensed Clinical Social Workers, Chemical Dependency Counselors Approved for 1.5 IBCC CEs for Pastors, Pastoral Counselors, Lay Summary Whether a psychologist, licensed mental health profes sional, or coach work with athletes or just those that per form, the understanding of how the client responds within their performance is critical. The intersection of psychology and performance is an area of research, as athletes’ be haviors significantly influence their outcomes. Behavioral interventions tailored to individual athletes’ needs can lead to significant improvements in sports performance (or any performance). Coaches, sports ministry leaders, counselors, and sports psychologists play crucial roles in implementing these strategies, fostering environments that support men tal, emotional, and spiritual development alongside physi cal training. Summary: There are many emotional intelligence and personality assessments available, which can make it confusing for licensed mental health professionals, medical professionals, coaches, and ministry leaders to decide the ones that would be best for a client or group, as well as for helping medical professionals understand these tools and know when referrals are appropriate. This session explores best practices for integrating Emotional Intelligence, Enneagram, CliftonStrengths, and more into your practice. We will compare these tools so participants can gain confidence in determining which ones will benefit clients and the strategies to help them apply these newly acquired insights to their personal and/or professional lives. Medical professionals will also gain an understanding of these emotional intelligence and personality tools that their patients talk about during their appointments. 1. Evaluate several of the emotional intelligence assess ments available and the factors to consider when choosing one for your client, group, or team 2. Gain a deeper understanding of how to use Clifton Strengths to enhance clients’ growth and effectiveness 3. Compare and contrast the benefits and limitations of four personality assessments, including the Enneagram 310.
