Adductor Magnus muscle and its referred pain pattern and trigger point allow myofascial body therapists to release the fascial tension related to physical traumatic experi ences. Clinical studies further suggest that the Psoas and Adductor Magnus muscles have increased myofascial ten sion in trauma. Understanding this relationship may assist psychologists, licensed mental health professionals, medi cal professionals, ministry leaders, and coaches in develop ing a multidisciplinary treatment for this complex condi tion. Thus, the Psoas and Adductor muscle manual release, in combination with a multidisciplinary trauma-informed care approach, may promote a more effective treatment of post-traumatic conditions. Learning Objectives Participants will: 1. Review of the spinal-muscular anatomy and its role in neuro integration and psychological impact 2. Examine clinical evaluation of a strained psoas major and adductor magnus muscle 3. Evaluate specific isolated manual release techniques to optimize restoration of the full functional range of motion of these muscles 405. core beliefs about themselves. As a result, individuals seek substitutes in an unhealthy attempt to meet their desires. In this workshop, participants will define each of the Seven Desires and examine examples of what core beliefs and behaviors commonly result when one or more of these desires are not satisfied within a client. Participants will be introduced to common strategies that can be used to assist individuals in developing a better awareness of their Seven Desires and understanding how the absence of some/all of these desires may be affecting their current life stories. Common techniques for helping clients develop strategies to better meet their Seven Desires will be discussed. 2. Describe how the absence of these desires creates aban donment issues in people and leads to their finding false, unhealthy substitutes 3. Develop strategies that help individuals identify their missing desires and how to get them met in healthier ways 406. Summary: This workshop introduces participants to the “Seven De sires” underlying a client’s surface issues. Licensed mental health professionals and ministry leaders often focus on reducing a client’s symptoms. While that may temporarily relieve their emotional pain, it fails to address the deeper issues related to their Seven Desires. According to the Christian tradition, God has instilled these Seven Desires in each person’s heart to help them grow and thrive.
