Learning Objectives 1. Describe biblical teachings about male and female roles for intimacy with gender-related roles and responsibilities that promote sexual fulfillment versus patterns that inter fere with mutual intimacy in marriage for willing Christian clients. 2. Outline how mutuality is necessary for long-lasting in timacy in a committed relationship. Mutuality can be at tained as each spouse takes responsibility for his/her part and releases responsibility to the other for their part. 3. Explain how passion in marriage will only last if the couple focuses on pleasure and enjoyment, not responses or results. 4. Identify when healing is necessary for past hurts and sexual dysfunctions. 5. Apply intentionality by teaching couples to nurture their intimacy by engaging in deliberate connecting times, using tools like The Formula for Intimacy. 107.
