WHO IS MOST LONELY? Sixteen percent of Americans state “they feel lone ly or isolated from those around them all or most of the time—including roughly equal shares of men and women.” Additionally, 38% express “they sometimes feel lonely, and 47% say they hardly ever or never do.” Although loneliness experiences are not very different by gender, age significantly differs. Adults 50 and under are substantially more likely to voice their loneliness than those older than 50 (22% vs. 9%). Considering all age groups, those 65 and older are the most likely to say they “hardly ever or never feel this way” (66%). 1

DAYCARE HAS LIFELONG CONSEQUENCES British psychoanalyst, clinical social worker, and parent coach, Erica Komisar, says children who are sent to day care may have lifelong negative consequences. “Babies are not born resilient; they’re born neurologically and emotionally fragile.
