AMERICAN KIDS ARE SICKER, SADDER, AND MORE OBESE According to the Make America Healthy Again Report, “Over 40% of the roughly 73 million children (aged 0-17) in the United States have at least one chronic health con dition, according to the CDC, such as asthma, allergies, obesity, autoimmune diseases, or behavioral disorders.” From 2009 to 2019, the report discovered that teenage depression nearly doubled; in children over six years old,

more than one in five were considered obese; one in 31 children were diagnosed with autism by age eight; and since 1975, childhood cancer has spiked by 40%. As a result, due to obesity, asthma, allergies, autoimmune dis eases, or behavioral disorders, nearly 75% of Americans between the ages of 17 and 24 do not qualify to serve in the military. The report identifies the four main reasons: “poor diet, environmental contaminants, lack of necessary exercise, and overmedication.” 9

This figure mirrors the effects of chemical abortion drugs such as RU486.” 15 n A survey of American teenagers between 13 and 17 by the Pew Research Center found that teen girls are significantly more likely

than teen boys to voice that they planned to attend a four-year col lege after graduating from high school (60% vs. 46%). 16 n Boys are more likely than girls to say they will go to a vocational school (11% vs. 7%), work a full time job (9% vs. 3%), and join the military (5% vs. 1%) after high school. 17 n “The number of Americans with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias is expected to jump from 6.7 million in 2023 to 13 mil lion by 2060.” 18 ;

n According to a recent Pew

Research report, “a staggering 30% of U.S. adults admit to con sulting astrology, tarot cards, or fortune tellers at least once a year. Even more alarming, 43% of women between the ages of 18 and 49 say they believe in astrol ogy.” 10 n A National Religious Broadcasters (NRB) study found: “More than 60% of American adults report consuming Christian media in some form, whether through television, radio, podcasts, news websites, social media, or You Tube.” These users state that their use is frequent, with half engag ing at least once per week. 11 n According to Lifeway Research’s 2022 Greatest Needs of Pastors study, stress leads the list of men tal challenges that U.S. Protestant pastors encounter, with distrac tions and discouragement also being significant factors affecting
