Support from mothers also declines with age: just 36% of young adult women feel supported by their mothers, down from 74% among teen girls. 18 n Only 32% of young women feel that their parents understand them, and just 33% say they feel valued by older adults. 19 n A 2023 Pew Research study found that 32% of U.S. adults have tat toos, with roughly 22% having more than one. The most com mon reason for getting a first tattoo is to honor or remember someone or something, though about 24% of tattooed adults ex press regret over getting one. 20 n Approximately four in 10 U.S. di vorces occur within the first 10 years of marriage, while near ly one in four happen after 25 years. The median duration of marriages ending in divorce has increased slightly over time, ris ing from 10 years in 2008 to 12 years in 2023. 21 ;

surveyed defined success as “consistent obedience to God,” marking a 14-point decline from 2023. 12 n Among Christians who have ex perienced divorce, 58% report having remarried. As a result, Christians are more likely than members of other faith groups to be married, whether in their first or subsequent marriages. 13 n A 2020 Harvard study found that women who attend church at least once a week have a 68% lower risk of dying from a death of despair compared with non-attendees, while frequent churchgoing men reduce their risk by about one-third. 14 n A majority of American evan gelicals (53%) agree with the statement, “The Holy Spirit is a force but is not a personal being,” which is considered heretical. 15 n Fifty-one percent of Americans say they wish they read the Bible more, while only 25% report read ing it once a week or more. 16 n Dr. Brad Wilcox, author of the 2023 book, Get Married , says, “Married mothers have 10 times the assets in midlife, are half as lonely, and nearly twice as likely to be ‘very happy’ compared to single, childless women.” 17 n Only 23% of young adult women report feeling supported by their fathers, compared with 47% of
