Light University has released two new courses: Psychological Trauma First Aid, a training built for anyone called to care, and Perinatal Mental Health 2.0, a continuing education course for clinicians. One prepares the Church and community to respond in moments of crisis, while the other sharpens professional care for mothers and fathers in one of life’s most vulnerable seasons. Psychological Trauma First Aid “Trauma” has become one of the most used words in American life, showing up in podcasts, social media captions, and everyday conver sation to describe everything from a stressful week to genuine devas tation. That popularity has a cost. When everything is called trauma, people carrying the real issue can be overlooked, and those who want to help often cannot tell the difference between distress that passes and wounds that need care.
