Without tools like com munication and negotiation skills, spouses can get stuck in destructive patterns, leading to the feeling that marriage is too hard to continue. In this workshop, licensed mental health professionals and ministry leaders will evaluate Ac ceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) as an empiri cally based treatment that helps couples overcome difficult emotions and thoughts, refortifying a relationship. Partici pants will discuss how to apply ACT to help couples stop struggling, reconcile differences, and rediscover love, define the core goal of ACT as a biblical tenet, and explain the six processes of psychological inflexibility. Additionally, partici pants will identify schemas that underlie conflicts in couples, deconstruct cognitive and emotional barriers, and explore values-driven interventions tailored to willing Christian couples, strengthening the relationships and helping clients make values-based choices. Define the core goal of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) as a faith-based tenet for willing Christian couples and explore its application in helping couples navi gate emotional and cognitive struggles. 2. Rooted in natural, healthy interaction patterns, it fosters emotional connection through personal, physical, and fun activities. In this workshop, licensed mental health professionals and ministry leaders will recognize how Theraplay® addresses a wide range of challenges, from behavioral concerns to emo tional difficulties, by engaging both children and adults in therapeutic play. Participants will identify how this histori cally significant method has proven effective for individu als of all ages, helping to strengthen relationships and build resilience. During this workshop, participants will evaluate how Theraplay® can be applied in diverse settings and assess how it fosters lasting positive change through meaningful and engaging interactions.
